As you walk through the winding alleys, the scenery suddenly opens up, revealing the Guangji Temple, situated at the end of the old street and serving as the spiritual center of the village. Historically, the village was isolated and frequently suffered attacks from indigenous peoples and wild beasts. In response, the villagers welcomed and revered the Martyr of Chongzhongyi, and built a temple to pray for peace. Over time, they added statues of the Sage King of Kaitang, the Heavenly Mother, and the Three Officials, thereby satisfying the spiritual needs of the people.
