At an elevation of 460 meters, Dajian Mountain, with its beautiful scenery, has become a famous suburban mountain in the Xizhi mountain range, and can be regarded as the backyard of Xizhi. Dajian Mountain changes with the seasons, showing different charms. In early spring, the cherry blossoms bloom, in summer, the fireflies light up, and in late autumn, the maple leaves turn red. The surrounding waterfalls, such as Dajian Mountain Waterfall, Eggplant Waterfall, and Xiufeng Waterfall, are also worth visiting. It is a quiet and peaceful place to enjoy nature. The Dajian Mountain scenic area has many hiking trails of varying lengths and difficulties. From the two entrances, Tianxiu Palace and Tiandao Qingxiu Temple, you can climb up the mountain along the stone stairs. Due to its geographical advantages, you can overlook the Greater Taipei Basin and take in the magnificent city view. The surrounding mountains are layered, with a subtle contrast of light and dark, resembling a Chinese ink painting. At night, you can see the lights of thousands of homes, and enjoy the stunning night view of over 180 degrees.
