Few remaining suspension bridge sites on the Keelung River in Taipei City exist today. The suspension bridge was established as a key route for coal transportation in the early development of the Neihu area, serving as a historical testament to the region's industrial growth.
This suspension bridge is the earliest dedicated coal transport bridge to span the Keelung River in Neihu District. The bridge deck was removed during the 1970s and 1980s, leaving only the bridge supports on the northern riverbank.
