The New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum is the first professional ceramics museum in Taiwan. The museum showcases the development of Taiwanese ceramics over the past century, presenting the memories and history of the people who lived on this land. The museum aims to integrate resources, establish a positive interaction with the local community, promote cultural tourism, and fully demonstrate the characteristics of Yingge's industry and local features, as well as stimulate the public's interest and concern for ceramics. The museum also actively expands its horizons, promoting international ceramic culture exchanges, and hopes to establish the subjectivity of Taiwanese ceramic culture through continuous efforts. The overall architectural form of the museum features exposed concrete, steel frames, and transparent glass, allowing the interior and exterior environments to penetrate each other, creating an infinite extension and virtual reality. The museum's space is designed to produce a sense of simplicity and beauty. The beautiful architecture provides an excellent stage for ceramic exhibitions and establishes a stunning landmark for Yingge. When visiting the museum, as you walk up the stone stairs, cross the bridge over the water, and pass through the large water wall and pool, you will be surrounded by the sounds and visual effects of the water, creating a sense of calmness and emotional transformation, allowing you to enter the museum with a pure heart. Inside the museum, the walls are made of exposed concrete and washed stones, gray stone, and brown wood, creating a continuous and richly layered space. The three-story above-ground and two-story below-ground building allows visitors to enjoy the artworks in a leisurely manner. The museum's architecture itself is a stage that encompasses infinite possibilities, where the exhibits are not the only stars, and the audience is also the main character. The museum features a "Children's Experience Room" designed for children aged 4-10 and a "Ceramic Studio" for amateur ceramic enthusiasts to research, create, and exchange. These spaces provide the public with a tactile experience that brings them closer to the earth.
