Simplified Chinese: Xiaochi Reservoir, in its early days it was not a reservoir but a pond, which is also the origin of the name "Xiaochi." Due to the natural constraints of the Penghu area, groundwater development has inherent difficulties and has reached saturation. To solve the water supply for daily life, a small reservoir was built. Xiaochi Reservoir was constructed according to Penghu's 10-year water resource development plan, following the Chikan Underground Reservoir and Wang'an Xi'an Reservoir. Construction began in February of the 78th year of the Republic of China (1999) and was completed and commissioned in June of the 79th year (2000). Its total storage capacity is about 200,000 cubic meters, to meet the drinking water needs of residents in Xiyu Township. Xiaochi Reservoir was built on the low-lying hill between Daichi and Xiaochi villages, on the coast-facing bay. The catchment area is 1.05 square kilometers, the normal water level is 14.2 meters, the dam crest length is 245 meters, the dam crest elevation is 17 meters, the full water level storage capacity is 130,000 cubic meters, and the planned annual water supply is 293,000 cubic meters. White egret habitats are common here, making it a good spot for bird lovers. Behind the reservoir lies a scenic beach locally called the "Dream Beach," also known as Dream Beach. 【Suggested stay time】 0.5 hours
