Established in 1997, the Pinglin Tea Industry Museum is located beside the Beishi Stream in Pinglin District, covering an area of nearly 3 hectares. The museum is a traditional Southern Fujian-style four-combined courtyard building, blending the elegance and beauty of a Jiangnan garden with modern architectural elements, creating a refined and serene tea culture hall. The museum features exhibition halls, experience rooms, and tea art classrooms, and regularly hosts special tea-themed exhibitions, guiding visitors in understanding Taiwan's tea industry and domestic and foreign tea cultures. The museum also offers a variety of engaging educational activities, reinterpreting the infinite possibilities of "tea" in contemporary times, telling numerous touching stories behind the tender buds of tea leaves, and leading visitors to discover the beauty of nature and human culture in the fragrance of tea, showcasing the most beautiful cultural landscape in the tea countryside. Do you know how many processes tea undergoes from harvesting to drying? From harvesting tea leaves -> sunlight and hot air withering -> indoor resting -> frying -> rolling -> first drying -> second drying, at the "New Taipei City Pinglin Tea Industry Museum", you can learn a lot of "tea knowledge" through on-site graphic displays, video explanations, and guided tours. Additionally, the museum has an "experience area" where visitors can engage in hands-on activities, such as touching, smelling, listening, and making tea, to explore the wonders of the tea world in a fun and interactive way.
