Wen Shan Farm in Quzhi Village, Xindian District, is located in the foothills of the mountains between Xindian MRT Station and Wulai Scenic Area, with beautiful tea gardens and refreshing air. The Xindian River flows through the north side of the farm from the foot of Quzhi Mountain, and the ecology is very rich. The park has a camping area, barbecue area, medicinal plant specimen area, leisure activity area, family contracted garden, tea art area, conference hall, tea-making workshop, agricultural product exhibition and sales center, children's playground, etc. It is a new leisure landmark in the Taipei-New Taipei City area. The Wen Shan Farm, which is the improvement center for Taiwanese tea, was the "Tea Industry Training Institute" during the Japanese colonial period. Since its establishment, it has been dedicated to the work of inheriting Taiwanese tea production and improvement technology. The red brick tea factory in the farm is the only tea factory in Taiwan that retains a chimney and is an important landmark of the farm. In recent years, Wen Shan Farm has transformed into a leisure farm, passing the organic tea garden certification in 2013 and obtaining the first farm registration certificate in New Taipei City in 2017. It is also the venue for the annual "Taipei City and New Taipei City Wen Shan Paochong Tea-Making Technology Competition". Wen Shan Farm, a multi-functional leisure venue, is currently operated by the New Taipei City Farmers' Association and can host activities such as camping, barbecues, and outdoor weddings. It is also a popular venue for outdoor teaching for elementary and junior high schools and welcoming activities for colleges and universities. Wen Shan Farm also offers a one-day tour, including tea culture experience and special DIY teaching, leading travelers to deeply participate in the process of tea picking, tea making, and tea brewing. Wen Shan Farm is also the largest firefly habitat in the Taipei-New Taipei City area and is an excellent place for firefly watching in New Taipei City!
