A trail linking Shetou Township in Changhua County with Nantou City; you can start from either the Changhua or the Nantou end. The path is about 1.8 km long and surfaced throughout with natural earth and stone. A rest pavilion sits roughly halfway along. In spring you may spot purple-spotted butterflies, and the plant life is rich and varied: the eastern half is shaded by secondary forest—acacia, ma bamboo, elephant’s-ear, shell-ginger and ixora—while the western half is dominated by fruit trees. Few hikers come this way, so you can listen to nature in peace; ideal for anyone who loves the outdoors and prefers a quiet hike.
