The huge rocky peak on the top of Mount Tashan is also known as Goto Rock. The rock has clear layers of joints, forming precipitous cliffs and strange rocks. A hiking trail from the Jiemei Lake leads up to an observation platform on the rock, offering a panoramic view of the surroundings. From here, one can see the entire scenic area and the streams in the Ali Mountain region. One can also observe the sea of clouds and the beautiful sunset. On a clear day, one can see the main peak of Yu Shan, Mt. Xiyue, and Duigao Peak in the distance.
