The Zhongshan Church is a Christian church built by the Japanese. The entrance arch has the inscription “March 1937: Foundation laid”. The church was originally a Japanese Anglican church called “Taiseicho Church” and was used for Japanese Christians living in the area around Taisei Street. The exterior is modeled after British Gothic-style churches. From a high vantage point, the church’s cruciform roof, pointed arches, keystones, and buttresses can be seen. These features are well-preserved and have architectural value.
