桃園市八德區崁頂路60號
The Hakka Hall of North District, located in Beitou District, was officially opened on October 23, 2021. There are about 260,000 Hakka people in the northern part of Taoyuan. The main mission of the hall is to connect the local Hakka historical and cultural context and recall the cultural identity of the Hakka people. The hall focuses on Hakka poetry, Hakka folk songs, and local Hakka culture. Therefore, the hall exhibits two important figures: Hakka poet Du Panfangge and Hakka folk song national treasure Lai Bixia. It is hoped that their outstanding artistic achievements will lead the hall to inherit and promote Hakka culture. The interior of the hall has music and dance classrooms, multi-function classrooms, briefing rooms, and other learning spaces, as well as a Hakka concert hall that can accommodate 200 seats. The exterior is an open grassland where rich and diverse Hakka cultural activities can be held. (Data source: Hakka Affairs Bureau of Taoyuan Government)
