A short trail tucked inside Baguashan Scenic Area greets visitors at Entrance 1 with an interpretive panel and a vermilion arch. The path is made of railroad-tie steps, boardwalk, and packed soil. Along the way you pass natural woodland and abandoned longan, lychee, and carambola groves; rest areas include large and small pavilions, viewing decks, stone tables and benches, and footbridges. From the lookouts you can see sheer cliff scenery and gaze toward Gua Mountain Shaolin Temple. The whole setting is quiet and secluded, shaded by dense forest and rich in diverse wildlife. Few visitors come here, so it remains a locals’ secret. The grade is gentle, the distance modest—ideal for casual hikers. If you want a longer challenge, the trail links to a well-known tourist ranch where you can meet cows and enjoy fresh local dairy products.
