The National Museum of Natural Science, abbreviated as NSM, is primarily divided into six major exhibition areas, including the Space Theater, Science Center, Life Science Hall, Earth Environment Hall, Human Culture Hall, and Botanical Garden. The 921 Earthquake Education Park in Wufeng, Taichung, the Fenghuang Bird Park in Lugu, Nantou, and the Chelungpu Fault Preservation Park in Zhushan Township have also become branch parks of the NSM. Not only is the content inside the museum rich and highly educational, but the outdoor parks are also suitable for leisure and outdoor activities. Over the years, the average number of visitors has been around three million, ranking second among all museums in Taiwan. In response to the insufficient number of staff within the museum, the NSM has specially recruited volunteer staff from abroad. This allows the museum to provide excellent service to visitors at any time. With high-quality science exhibitions, enthusiastic staff, and a comfortable museum environment, the National Museum of Natural Science has become a popular choice for schools to organize educational visits and is an important center for science learning.
