The rather poetic etymology of the place name originally had three petals; however, due to its strategic significance, the ROC military constructed a bunker on the island. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by PRC frogmen at the time, prompting the ROC military to abandon their outpost and destroy the bunker, causing two petals to fall and leaving only one petal remaining. There is also an intriguing feng shui legend tied to this site. The name "Hanshe Flower (寒舍花)" has even served as a riddle's answer multiple times, with its riddle clue being "poor girl (貧女)," directly connecting to the term "Hanshe (寒舍)," which means "humble abode." This clever wordplay is an interesting riddle that reflects Kinmen's cultural and geographical context. After taking a stroll through the Mountain Rear Folk Culture Village, be sure to come and admire this flower blooming along the coastline!
