It is an artificial lake formed by diverting the Shajiang Creek, built in 1972, and one of the five major lakes in Kinmen. The lake shore is lined with windbreak forests, with small pavilions and arch bridges scattered around. Among them, the Dongmei Pavilion, built in memory of the renowned philosopher Fang Dongmei, and the Hu Xiao Bridge, which spans across the center of the lake, are the most distinctive. On the southern shore, behind Shui Tou, there is a famous Fengshiye (Wind Lion God) sculpture, featuring large eyes and a wide mouth, with a quite rustic charm.
