金門縣891金湖鎮太湖路三段太湖遊憩區
The Taohu Recreational Area includes Taohu, Chongzheng Memorial Forest, Rong Garden, the Yü Ta-wui Memorial Hall, and the August 23rd War History Museum, covering an area of approximately 45 hectares. Originally named "Huanglong Reservoir," Taohu is the largest man-made freshwater lake in Kinmen, supplying water for daily use in the Jinhu area and irrigation for farmers. The vast lake surface is grand and majestic, with ripples created by the wind always attracting the attention of passersby. There are three islands in the lake, home to many birds, and the surrounding area is also where cute otters often appear. In the early morning, Taohu looks dreamlike and magical in the mist. Dense flowers and trees are planted along the lake, and by walking along the lakeside path, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains. Or sit in the pavilion to cool off and chat, which are all pleasant experiences. If you plan to spend half a day touring the nearby Rong Garden and the August 23rd War History Museum, it would be an even better arrangement. Zhongzheng Park covers the entire Taohu and Rong Garden areas. The park features pine forests providing shade, scenic views of the lake and mountains, lush green grass, and facilities such as a lake-viewing path, children's sports park, stone carvings, and small bridges. It is very suitable for families to come for recreation and appreciate the surrounding natural scenery.
