1. The city’s first disaster-prevention education center sits on the Tamsui River waterfront, directly across from the historic site “Dr. George Mackay’s Landing.” The building is shaped like a fire engine; at the entrance stands a fire-safety-mascot mailbox that will mail your postcards for you! Inside are two flagship games—an immersive projection interactive game and a VR virtual-reality interactive game—teaching correct disaster-prevention concepts through play. There are also 3D photo walls and adorable rhino figurines ready for souvenir snapshots.
2. Immersive projection interactive experience: Projectors cast images onto the walls; by touching the projected icons, visitors trigger game interactions. The program weaves together knowledge on fire, typhoon, earthquake, and carbon-monoxide safety. Under the banner “Disaster-Prevention Brainiac,” four themed levels place players in everyday hazard scenarios, embedding prevention know-how while they play.
3. VR virtual-reality interactive experience: A VR headset and controllers plunge participants into realistic disaster scenes, guiding them—through gameplay—toward correct emergency responses. Fire scenes change in seconds; a single decision can lead to entirely different outcomes. How should you choose your escape route? If someone is drowning, how can you save a life while keeping yourself safe? Face the challenges in two major stages: “Fire Escape” and “Water-Rescue Mission”!
