連江縣東引鄉太白天聲
Amid the mountain and sea views that seem to appear and disappear, along the path to Dongyong Lighthouse, a stone archway with crimson-red background and white, calligraphic characters stands by the roadside. This scenic platform is erected atop towering granite rocks, offering a magnificent viewpoint. Gazing out from the observation deck, the shoreline's shimmering rock formations and imposing landscapes spread before you; gazing into the distance, the vast ocean expanse is breathtaking. During the foggy spring and summer period (approximately April to June), the mist becomes thick and dreamlike. The swirling fog partially conceals the stones, while the wind's whispers and crashing waves along the rugged coastline create an ethereal, illusory world that appears and vanishes, hence earning the name "Tai Wu" (the ethereal void). From this vantage point, you can admire a panoramic view of half of Danshui Island's layered ridges and also witness the dramatic meeting of sea and cliff that stretches toward the horizon. The overwhelming spectacle leaves no time to take it all in, compelling visitors to linger and savor every moment. If you visit Dongyong during this season, do not miss the chance to experience this personally! The Drums Left on Earth—Leigu Stone Along the trail to Dongyong Lighthouse lies another small site—Leigu Stone. This granite boulder, protruding from the mountain cliff beside the path, is shaped like a large round drum. It appears as though it would emit deep resonances if struck, making it a distinct geological wonder of the region.
