Located in Nanzhuang, Miaoli, the Xianren Valley is a canyon landscape formed by the confluence of Lukohu Creek, Luchang Creek, and Fengmei Creek. The vast canyon scenery and cascading waterfalls are breathtaking. After a rain, the misty atmosphere surrounding the waterfalls creates an otherworldly ambiance, earning it the nickname "Xianren Valley". The Xianren Valley waterfall and suspension bridge are the ancestral spiritual grounds of the Tayal people. In the past, it was known as the "Valley of Death", where the neighboring Luchang tribe buried their ancestors. The valley was closed for many years until it was renovated by the management office of the Paramount Destinies National Scenic Area. Today, the valley features wooden boardwalks and suspension bridges adorned with indigenous totems, allowing visitors to appreciate the scenery safely. Standing on the suspension bridge offers a panoramic view of the valley, with massive boulders, majestic canyons, and awe-inspiring waterfalls that showcase the marvels of nature. The valley's breathtaking scenery caught the attention of director Wei Te-sheng, who chose it as one of the filming locations for the movie "Seediq Bale". There is a nearby tribal landscape restaurant where visitors can enjoy a close-up view of the waterfall. Besides walking on the suspension bridge for a bird's-eye view, the Qifen Zui Restaurant at the trailhead offers another option. The restaurant, from its interior decor to its dishes, exudes a rich tribal atmosphere. By walking through the restaurant and down the stairs, visitors can observe the magnificent waterfall landscape of Xianren Valley from a closer angle.
