Tshong Bing BAR, a new "nightlife department" led by Yu Tou Mei, has been launched by Lin Cong Ming, offering a unique blend of Taiwanese, Japanese, and Western styles, and operating on a reservation system for parties of six or more. This new venture aims to capture the nightlife of Chiayi City. Since Lin Cong Ming's appearance on Netflix's "Street Food: Taiwan," his international reputation has grown, and the emergence of Tshong Bing BAR has undoubtedly added another "Chiayi living room."
The wooden old house where Tshong Bing BAR is located was previously "Cun Xing Electric Appliances," and many historical relics can be seen inside, including the "bagua" glass on the mezzanine floor. The dining area incorporates simulated high-mountain plant groups, shaping the image of Alishan, and the signboard and bar counter are presented with a Taipei-style modern atmosphere using neon lights. The menu features personal Cong Ming set meals, including classic dishes such as chicken rice, winter vegetable shrimp egg soup, and individual servings of sandpot fish head. There are also innovative dishes like spicy fish floss noodle stir-fry, making it a "completely smart bar" where you can unlock Chiayi's famous food without queuing.
In addition to various traditional wines, sake, beer, and cocktails, the menu emphasizes "local flavor and fun." The "Cong Ming Beer," which is a collaboration with Juan Drama Troupe, is particularly recommended, as well as a cocktail developed with Ri Xiang Coffee, which combines Cong Ming Beer, Alishan coffee, and orange peel, giving it a taste similar to Sicilian sparkling coffee.
