It was founded in Banqiao by two individuals from the 1950s generation after observing the food restaurant ecosystem in Taiwan. By late 2003, Ye Yan had rapidly expanded across the entire province. The key to its swift expansion lies in standardizing every procedure, enabling each franchisee—even those with no prior related experience—to quickly establish operations under headquarters' guidance, recover investment costs, and generate profits. Another crucial factor for Ye Yan's success is its unique taste. The team traveled to Japan to study traditional Japanese beef grilling sauce recipes, then re-created and adjusted the flavorings locally upon returning to Taiwan.
