The New Wenchuang Bridge is located at the 45Km point along National Highway 28, spanning the Lao-Nong Creek between Lukui Bridge and Dazhi Bridge, linking National Highway 28 with National Highway 27. This bridge primarily connects the cities of Meigong, Lukui, and Maolin in Kaohsiung City, as well as Gaoshe and Dazhi in Pingtung County, enabling reduced travel times across various areas of Kaohsiung. The bridges features an outsloping steel arch design structure and is uniquely shaped in the form of the Purple Emperor butterfly.
