The New Wuf Forest Park is located on the west bank of the Laonong River on Provincial Highway 28 in Liugui District, at an elevation of about 200 meters. From here, you can gaze out at the Central Mountains and Laonong River. It was once one of the largest nurseries in Taiwan, spanning about 30 hectares and focusing on cultivating tropical seedlings. The nursery grew over 200 types of seedlings, with kapok trees, bamboo, and cedar being the most prevalent. Throughout the year, the park is a lush green, with a 2-kilometer kapok tree avenue running through it. During the late winter and early spring, the green leaves of the kapok trees turn reddish-yellow, creating a natural corridor of lined trees with an exotic feel. This spot often attracts many couples out for strolls and is a popular and romantic location for wedding photos. It's recommended to spend about an hour here, opening up your senses to deeply experience the wonders of the forest.
