The platform was officially opened on 9 November 2014. It is 10-metre-high cantilevered viewing platform. Designed with the image of a Bunun "pounding stick". The platform was made of steel and has a unique structure that can hold dozens of people. It demonstrates the structural aesthetics of engineering. The cantilever gently slopes from the shore of Sun Moon Lake. It provides a better view, as well as creating an illusion of diving into the lake. The platform's surface is made up of a grid of voids. It allows visitors to experience the thrill of walking on the treetops and on the surface of Sun Moon Lake. From here, visitors can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lalu Island, Hanhbi Peninsula and Shuishe Dam.
