The Confucius Temple located on the north shore of Lotus Pond was built in 1976 and belongs to the modern imitative Song Dynasty palace-style architecture. It imitates the style of the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong, China, such as the Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, Xingxing Gate, Li Gate, and Yi Road. Inside, there is a bronze relief wall that narrates the life story of Confucius, with the inscription "Wanlie Gongqiang" on the back, praising Confucius's profound scholarship and morality. There are more than ten Confucius Temples in Taiwan. The Confucius Temple next to Lotus Pond in Lingya District has a majestic and solemn exterior, with an ancient charm. It once attracted the famous TV series "The Empress Dowager" to film on location. The park has lush trees, small bridges, and flowing water, creating a picturesque landscape that complements the beauty of the lake and mountains.
