Lujiaoxi Park is the 3rd age-friendly park in New Taipei City, covering an area of 7,022 square meters. To achieve the goal of an age-friendly park, the park was constructed in four phases, starting from 2012. The first phase, a neighborhood leisure area, the second phase, a children's playground, and the third phase, a sports area for seniors, have been completed, providing diverse facilities to meet the daily leisure needs of local residents. Currently, the park is positioned as a dynamic theme park with the theme "Passionate Belief, Unlimited Youth," offering a comprehensive basketball court for basketball enthusiasts of different ages to enjoy. Located just a 5-minute walk from Shanjia Railway Station, Lujiaoxi Park was once an area with numerous iron factories. After the park's construction, it now forms a scenic area along the Lujiaoxi Creek, together with Shanzijiao Park, making the surrounding environment more comfortable and pleasant, fully satisfying the leisure needs of people of all ages. As a linear park covering nearly 1,000 ping, the park follows the Lujiaoxi Creek, with lush greenery and weeping willows along the way. A wooden plank road connects Shanjia Railway Station and the Hakka Arts and Culture Center. The district office will further purify the Lujiaoxi Creek, allowing the creek water to be clearer and inhabited by fish and shrimp.
