【The Red Mangrove Ecological Education Center is currently under construction and temporarily closed.】The Red Mangrove Ecological Education Center is a small but beautiful ecological education center. The current exhibition spaces include static display spaces and multimedia audio-visual spaces, which use illustrations, posters, light boxes, and multimedia videos to introduce the growth process of the star species of the red mangrove - the Chinese Banyan, as well as the ecology of the mangrove, such as the fiddler crab, mudskipper, and water birds. There is also an observation deck where visitors can observe the reserve up close and take in the stunning views of the mangrove forest, the estuary of the Tamsui River, the Guanyinshan mountain, and the majestic Guandu Bridge through the excellent viewing window. Located next to the Tamsui Red Mangrove Nature Reserve, on the second floor of the MRT Red Mangrove Station, visitors can observe the mangrove ecosystem up close. If needed, a reservation can be made in advance, and with a guide, visitors can enter the outdoor ecological trail, experience the mangrove ecosystem firsthand, and get close to the water birds, intertidal zone creatures, and diverse estuary life in the Tamsui Red Mangrove Ecological Reserve. Here, you can take a close look at the largest pure Chinese Banyan forest in the world.
