※ In accordance with epidemic prevention regulations, the main building of Shilin Official Residence, Chungli Hall, New Orchid Pavilion, and the horticultural exhibition hall are temporarily closed. The reopening date will be announced separately depending on the situation of the outbreak.

Shilin Official Residence features meticulously designed gardens with birdsong and scenery that make it an ideal place for leisure and recreation. Due to its prime location adjacent to Zhongshan North Road, offering excellent access to the Presidential Office and backed by the support of Fushan Hill's advantageous topography, it became the official residence of the late President Chiang Kai-shek.

In 1996, the residence was opened to the public for the first time to enjoy horticulture and recreation. The Rose Garden was Mrs. Chiang's favorite garden. The romantic scenery of the Western-style garden makes it a popular spot for wedding photos. The Chinese-style garden, with its arch bridges, winding streams, and traditional Eastern landscape design, creates an atmosphere of an ancient Chinese garden.

The Official Residence Park is surrounded by the Fushan range and covers an area of 9.28 hectares. Established in 1950 (39th year of the Republic of China) when the late President Chiang Kai-shek resided here, the area surrounding the residence has been prohibited from renovations or new construction due to its status as a presidential dwelling, allowing the Official Residence Park to maintain its natural landscapes.

The park is primarily divided into the outer garden, inner garden, main house, greenhouse orchid section, Rose Garden, Chungli Hall, New Orchid Pavilion, and Ciyun Pavilion. The inner garden is Chinese-style, featuring winding bridges, artificial mountains, unusual rocks, and a red Chinese pavilion. The Western-style outer garden is designed with lawn flower beds and extensive flower planting, offering breathtaking scenery as the venue for the annual chrysanthemum exhibition. The Rose Garden houses over 200 varieties of roses and more than 4,000 plants. The blooming season occurs from November each year to April of the following year, creating a vibrant colorful landscape where Mrs. Chiang loved to stroll.

Chungli Hall served as the Chiang family's place for religious worship and baptism. Constructed in 1950 (39th year of the Republic of China), the New Orchid Pavilion, also known as the Birthday Pavilion, is a four-sided Chinese-style structure traditionally used for President Chiang's birthday celebrations and various orchid exhibitions. Situated atop Fushan, Ciyun Pavilion is a two-story square pavilion built by the senior president to commemorate his mother. Opened to the public in 1996 (85th year of the Republic of China), Shilin Official Residence Park continues to develop and enhance planning and facilities to provide better services, becoming another prime urban recreational destination in Taipei.
