Located in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, the Lee Fong Feng Ancient Residence, a Southern Fujian-style three-section compound with a history of around 200 years, is the most well-preserved and luxurious of its kind in the North Coast area. It is said that the owner of Fong Feng Residence was Lee Bu, who immigrated to Taiwan from Zhangzhou in 1802, started from scratch, and became incredibly wealthy, making him the richest and most prestigious family in the area, including Jinbaoli. Upon entering Fong Feng Residence, there is a semi-circular pool in the front and an orchard in the back, showcasing the feng shui design of seeking wealth and fortune in this ancient house. According to the folk customs of the Qing dynasty, ordinary people's houses were not allowed to have upturned roof ridges, except for temples and ancestral halls; only officials or those who had passed the imperial examination had the right to build houses with swallowtail decorations. However, Fong Feng Residence boasts a luxurious swallowtail roof ridge, demonstrating the owner's power and achievements. The cut-and-paste decorations on the roof ridge are also extremely exquisite. Currently, Fong Feng Residence is still inhabited, and as long as visitors do not disturb the residents, they are welcome to observe from the outside.
