The Kouhu Visitor Service Center is one of the nodes in the Kouhu Wetland Ecological Park. The design takes common objects in the wetlands as inspiration and the beautiful scenery of water birds flying and dancing as the concept, adding vitality to the surrounding open grassland landscape. This design uses landscape architecture to plan the building volume - the roof is an extension of the earth, making the man-made building blend with the earth. The two buildings intersect through their roofs, just like two water birds flying side by side. Visitors can directly access the roof from the ground via a gentle slope that blends into the earth, and walk up to the green roof observation deck (currently the 2nd-floor observation deck is under renovation and not accessible). From here, they can overlook the wetland scenery. The ecological pond and bird-watching pavilion are designed with a grid to create a visually transparent area, allowing observers to view the subjects without external interference and showcase their original appearance, optimizing the viewing experience. The Kouhu Visitor Service Center is also one of the few visitor service centers that provide catering services. The rich cuisine offered is "local small farm ingredient menu-less cuisine". Visitors are welcome to call ahead for reservations and taste the most authentic flavors of Kouhu.
