The majestic and towering Jiulong Waterfall, also known as "Taiwan's Dragon", is a waterfall formed by a fault, located on the rocky cliff of Tushan Tail ridge in the southeast of Fengshan. Its water source is the tributary Jiulong Stream of the upper reaches of the Qingshui Stream. In a hand-drawn map from the Japanese colonial period, it was marked as "Dai Ryū" or "Great Waterfall" in Japanese, which means an exceptionally large waterfall. The Jiulong Waterfall hangs on a cliff with an altitude of 1600 meters, with a drop of 846 meters. When the water volume is abundant, the waterfall can be seen divided into two layers rushing down, like a white giant dragon. The mighty water creates a force that allows people to experience nature's power. From a distance, it looks like a landscape painting. It's a limited edition beauty after a heavy rain and is deeply loved by tourists and photographers. When the water volume is low, a large area of the mountain wall can be seen, and the stream falls into the valley in four layers. Therefore, visitors are advised to visit during the rainy season if they want to see the magnificent Jiulong Waterfall.
