In the 19th year of the Qing Daoguang era (1839), the Rimaohang Lin family and local scholars requested the City God from Quanzhou Yongning (Aocheng) to establish a temple in Luogang. Since the Yongning City God Temple was named "Aotong Palace," the Luogang City God Temple also inherited its ancestral temple's name, "Aotong Palace." The main hall enshrines the City God, who was granted the title "Zhongyou Hou." Above the deity's altar, a tablet inscribed "Harmonizing Yin and Yang" explains the City God's duty to oversee both the worldly and spiritual realms.
