The Lukang Public Hall was originally the Wenchun Gong Temple and the Temple of Lord Su of the Su Family. During the Japanese colonial period in Showa 3 (1928), the building was redeveloped into a public hall. After World War II, it was renamed as "Zhongshan Hall" and previously served as the Geriatric Association Hall.
