A landmark of Chiayi people's spirit - In 1970, Madame Hsu Shih-hsien, the mayor of Chiayi, constructed a colorful central fountain. The fountain features 14 different types of water sprays that change every 15 minutes, with the water height reaching up to 20 meters. At night, the fountain is particularly stunning with its vibrant colors and mesmerizing displays. Today, a day before every election, candidates and their supporters gather here to rally and campaign, making it a distinctive feature of the Central Fountain and a spiritual landmark for the people of Chiayi.
