The Welcome Guesthouse is situated at the foot of Taibao Mountain and Nanxiung Mountain, a tunnel hotel carved into the granite rock mass. During the Jinmen Battlefield Governance era, it was the most renowned facility for receiving foreign guests, completed in 1980 and nicknamed the "Underground Hilton Hotel." The Welcome Guesthouse consists of 31 rooms located within a 320-meter tunnel behind the main structure; only two rooms have been preserved. One room was occupied by former Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, while the other is Room "018," where Teresa Teng stayed multiple times during her war effort tours to Jinmen. The guesthouse's first floor lobby presents displays centered on "Battlefield Defense Facilities" and "Introduction to the Welcome Guesthouse," featuring military relics such as rail fences, anti-paratrooper stakes, barbed wire, and minefields, showcasing the readiness of the battlefield governance era.
