The Baoshan Second Group Cherry Blossom Park is located at 16.5K on the Tengzhi Forest Road, Baoshan Village, Taoyuan District. With an elevation of nearly 1500 meters, this cherry blossom park spans approximately 38 hectares, earning it the nickname "38-hectare Cherry Blossom Park." Due to its elevated location, it offers a panoramic view of Xiaoguan Mountain, the entrance to the Southern Cross Highway, Jian Mountain, and the BaoLai hot spring area. The park features nearly 5000 cherry blossom trees of various species. The blossoming period usually occurs in late winter to early spring (around January to February each year). The vibrant sea of flowers adorns the 38-hectare park with a kaleidoscope of colors, signaling the arrival of spring. It is the premier destination for cherry blossom viewing in Kaohsiung. It is recommended to spend about 2 hours here. Visitors can take a stroll along the cherry blossom trail, breathing in the abundant phytoncides emitted by the forest trees in the mountainous area.
