This is a long-established traditional Kinmen restaurant that mainly serves local regulars; it is currently the largest banquet venue in Jinsha Township and was once the favorite gathering place for officers and soldiers stationed in eastern Kinmen. Qunyinglou impresses with its grand yet comfortable atmosphere and spacious layout. Its ingredients come chiefly from Kinmen itself and from the sea; every dish is generous and honest, full of down-home flavor. The restaurantโs white-cut chicken uses local Kinmen free-range chicken marinated in sorghum liquor, yielding sweet meat redolent of that distinctive spirit. Its array of fresh seafood dishes, popular with servicemen back in the day, is said to be a collection of the Kinmen Defense Commandโs private favorites.
