Chintian Hall is located within the Ta Wu Mountains, measuring 60 meters in length, 18 meters in width, and 11 meters in height, offering a spacious hall capable of accommodating over a thousand people. The hall was carved directly into the mountain wall by detonating explosives, followed by manual excavation. Its walls display clear excavation marks and natural rock textures, creating an imposing landscape. Chintian Hall connects with other tunnels, having functioned as a medical shelter and a command center during wartime. In response to military needs, Kinmen undergroundized almost all defensive facilities and combat positions, linking them with extensive subterranean passages to create versatile spaces. The network's reach extends across the main island, forming a vast underground system known as the "Underground Kinmen."
