Located on the side of Yuanji Road in Ershui Township (County Road 152), the origin of Lin Mr. Temple is that in 1719, during the 58th year of Emperor Kangxi's reign, the settler Shi Changling worked on the construction of the Bapao Irrigation Canal in Wudongbao near the nose head. Various construction methods were used but all failed to channel the water from the Zhuo River into the irrigation canal. Fortunately, he met Lin Mr. who provided expertise on water diversion. The canal was completed and irrigated the entire Changhua Plain, leading to its prosperity. However, after accomplishing great merit, Lin Mr. declined reward and disappeared, and his real name remained unknown. Later generations built Lin Mr. Temple near the head of Bapao Irrigation Canal at the nose head in Ershui to commemorate his great achievement and express gratitude for his grace.
