2021-01-26
台北市北投區中山路六號「梅庭」旁
The open-air hot spring pool of Beitou Park is located within Beitou Park. Starting from the park entrance, walking towards the Geothermal Valley, it takes about 15 minutes to arrive. The area was opened in December 1999, coinciding with the millennium, hence it is also called "Millennium Hot Spring." The area covers approximately 1,000 square meters, with an overall design resembling Japanese style, mainly using natural materials such as rocks and wood. The ticket booth and restrooms roofs are covered with black cultural tiles, creating a strong Japanese atmosphere. The hot spring water source comes from the Geothermal Valley, and is commonly known as "blue sulfur spring" by the general public. There are six public pools distributed according to the terrain's elevation, four of which are hot spring pools and two are cold water pools. The water temperature ranges from 38 to 42 degrees, and it decreases with the elevation of the pools. You can choose the suitable hot spring pool according to your preference. The benefit of the open-air bath pool is that you can feel the breeze while soaking, hear the sounds of nature, and enjoy the greenery of the park. At night, you can also enjoy the moon and stars, helping you to escape the city noise and relieve fatigue. Interestingly, to maintain a safe and hygienic hot spring environment, there are rules posted on site, and it is required to wear swimsuits and take a shower before entering the pool. The area is open for six sessions daily, and the time and other information can be checked on the park's official website. Do you like soaking in an open-air hot spring pool? Come and try it at the open-air hot spring pool of Beitou Park!
