Jiang Weishui Memorial Park was originally named "Jinxī Park," located in the Dadaocheng area, with a total area of 5,060 square meters, making it the largest neighborhood park in the Datong District.
Mr. Jiang Weishui was a fighter for democracy and a cultural pioneer in Taiwan. Many of his life's achievements took place in the Dadaocheng area, such as establishing the Da'an Hospital, founding the Cultural Association, and setting up the general distribution office of the Min Bao newspaper. In commemoration of Mr. Jiang Weishui, the Taipei City Government renamed the nearby Jinxī Park to "Jiang Weishui Memorial Park."
Within the "Jiang Weishui Memorial Park," there is an entrance image square monument and a memorial plaque. The side walls of the entrance image square monument are engraved with an introduction to Mr. Jiang Weishui's life written by the historian Mr. Zhuang Yongming. The content is available in Chinese, English, and Japanese versions, which is convenient for travelers from all over to visit.
The exterior design of the memorial plaque building is modeled after the Baroque architectural style of Dihua Street, restoring the local characteristics. In addition, the plaque "Jiang Weishui Memorial Monument" is embedded on the upper part of the front wall of the plaque building, and the two side columns are embedded with the slogan "Comrades Should Unite, Unity Truly Brings Strength," written by the calligrapher Mr. Pan Qingzhong. The overall landscape is solemn and dignified, fully demonstrating the significance of the memorial.
The park also has facilities such as a pavilion, garden benches, and playground equipment, allowing people to slow down and explore the story of Jiang Weishui together.
