Riding a bicycle along the Xindian River, through the green grass between the tall buildings on both sides of the river, after passing the Machedang Bicycle Path, you can enter the "Machedang Memorial Park," an area located by the Xindian River and adjacent to the Youth Park.
 

　　The "Machedang Memorial Park" was originally a military area. Later, the Taipei City Government, through extensive negotiations, secured the construction of the "Machedang Memorial Park," connecting with nearby Huajiang Wild Duck Park and Zhongzheng Riverside Park, providing a large recreational area for the Wanhua District.

　　The early morning at Machedang has a fresh beauty. The long steps along the riverside make an ideal place to sit and watch the sunrise, with a wide view, and reflections of the river can be seen; on a good day, you can see the sunrise slowly rising from the side of the 101 Building in the distance, and occasionally, sunlight shines through the clouds onto the Xindian River, making the river surface sparkle with a golden glow, truly beautiful.
 

　 There is a mound of earth in the Machedang Memorial Park. The inscription on the stone in front of the mound reads: "In the 1950s, passionate patriots who pursued social justice and political reform were arrested during the period of martial law and executed near this Machedang mound. In order to commemorate the deceased and this historical event, the Machedang execution site mound is preserved, to mourn the countless heroes who sacrificed their lives in Taiwan, and to provide a place for later generations to pay their respects and瞻仰."
