Originally the hometown of a tea farmer, when it was passed down to the sixth generation, Gao Yitai, it coincided with the transformation of traditional agriculture and the rise of leisure agriculture. Under the guidance of the Taipei Deep Pit Agricultural Association, by the end of 2002 (Minguo 91), the ground floor of the more than 30-tsubo space was transformed into a visitor service center.
Everyone knows that Deep Pit is famous for its tofu. In fact, Deep Pit's tofu comes from the neighboring Shiding district. However, it gained a reputation through tofu dishes prepared in Deep Pit's old street, catching media attention and gaining widespread fame instead.
