Niaosong Wetland is located in Niaosong District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, covering approximately 3 hectares. It is Taiwan's first educational park themed around artificial wetlands, primarily designed for natural ecological education with secondary emphasis on tourism and recreation. The park records 89 species of birds, over 270 species of insects, and more than 300 species of plants, showcasing a richly diverse ecological resource. The area is adjacent to the expansive Chingchien Lake and serves as part of the former sedimentation pond of the Waterworks. This makes it an excellent outdoor ecological teaching site. Ecological interpretation activities are held there every weekend, and visitors can observe mallards, pied herons, and little egrets roaming in the wetland waters along the wooden boardwalk.
