The Kinmen Coastal Recreational Park is situated near the estuary of Wujiang Creek and is surrounded by the sea on both sides. It offers distant views of Lieyu and Jianguo Island. Explanation boards are available for all the plants in the park, allowing visitors to gain knowledge about nature while enjoying beautiful scenery. Adjacent to the park is the "Xiongshe Bunker" which was originally built to prevent enemy forces from landing at the mouth of Wujiang Creek and is now under the use of the Kinmen County Council for the Promotion of Senior Citizens' Welfare. The bunker is equipped with military facilities including cannons and open to the public for visits. Walking along the scenic trail of the park's coastal embankment provides views of the rich natural ecosystem of the Wujiang Creek estuary mangrove forest, as well as the intertidal zone full of biodiversity such as mudskippers, crabs, and bivalves. The surrounding seascape and coastlines form an elegant ecological landscape and serve as the most important wintering area for birds like gulls, egrets, and sandpipers. Following the trail leads to the Tong'an Ferry Wharf. This once significant port used for transportation between Kinmen and Xiamen has an expansive view and vast ocean scenery, being an ideal vantage point for watching the sunset.
