The wind lion god is the representative guardian of Jinmen. When arriving in Jinmen by plane, the first thing you'll see is a large wind lion god situated on a highland, which marks the site of the Jinmen County Environmental Park. Originally a discarded kaolin mine, the park was rejuvenated with support from the Environmental Protection Administration in 1995, covering an area of 23.92 hectares. The park includes: an interpretive center, 64 wind lion gods in the Daohu area, a large wind lion god, and landscape plantings. In 2005, the Environmental Protection Department moved in, and with everyone's efforts, the park has become lush and vibrant. Within the park is a lake where wading birds like herons can often be seen foraging. The park's design features an islet in the center of the lake shaped like the island of Jinmen. Here, 64 wind lion gods from each of Jinmen's townships are replicated to scale and placed in their original locations, allowing visitors to appreciate all the wind lion gods from Jinmen's villages at once. Notably, each wind lion god has a unique style, size, expression, and emblems in hand, with the tallest one from Anqi standing 378 centimeters tall—worth careful observation. Additionally, there is a 15-meter-tall wind lion god holding a command seal and banner located in the park since its construction.
