The golden sandy beach in front of Donglin Seaside Park was originally filled with landmines and barbed wire like all other beaches in Kinmen's coastal areas. Now that the tense relations between the two sides have eased, these military defense facilities have been removed. The high-quality golden sandy beach in the southeast of the Donglin settlement has become a great place for visitors to enjoy the sea and waves. It is clean and pollution-free, making it one of the major attractions in the small island of Kinmen. Donglin Seaside Park covers an area of 3 hectares, located near the seaside just beyond the Victory Gate. The golden beach shines under the sunlight. The park has a sculpture plaza with many lifelike animal sculptures, such as dolphins, horseshoe crabs, and herons, which are very popular with children. There are also forest activity areas and scenic rest platforms.
