The Lumer Suspension Bridge section of the Nikko Pass trail is located in Zhuoxi Township, Hualien County, representing the easternmost segment of the Japanese colonial Nikko Pass Ridge Trail. This hiking trail stretches from Lumer Suspension Bridge along the northern bank of Lakuraku Creek to Zhuole Elementary School, covering approximately 2700 meters. It is flat and easy to walk, with a single journey taking about two hours and returning the same way requiring four hours. The entire route of the Lumer Suspension Bridge section is within a broadleaf forest, with gentle slopes suitable for hiking. Along the path, visitors can observe a subtropical plant ecosystem, admire the magnificent beauty of Lakuraku Creek, and learn about the history of the Nikko Pass trail and Bunun tribal culture. This trail is a scenic path rich in both natural resources and humanistic history.
**Transportation information:**
(1) To reach the western entrance: Follow Provincial Highway 30 past Nan'an Waterfall to approximately the 2.5 km marker. Turn right and descend about 500 meters downhill. Lumer Suspension Bridge will be visible; after crossing the bridge, you'll arrive at the western entrance of the Lumer Suspension Bridge section of the Nikko Pass trail.
(2) To reach the eastern entrance: Follow Provincial Highway 30 and turn right at the traffic indicators. Proceed via the industrial road behind Zhuole Elementary School (approximately 2.5 km of car drive), which will lead to the eastern entrance of the Lumer Suspension Bridge section of the Nikko Pass trail.
