"Songshan Fongtian Temple" is commonly known as "Tian Gong Temple," and the main deity worshiped here is the Jade Emperor. The Fongtian Temple of Songshan was founded in the 43rd year of the Republic of China, and was built with funds raised by elderly residents of Songshan, including Wen Jinbo and Liu Yonghao, to worship the Jade Emperor and other deities. In the 48th year of the Republic of China, the Five Thousand-Year King of the Yongji Road Kai'an Temple in this area was transferred from the Ma Mingshan Zhen'an Temple in Baozhong, Yunlin, to the Wufenpu area of Songshan. At that time, the temple was still renting a house for worship. Because the number of worshippers was large and the temple could not accommodate them, local people decided to request the agreement of Wen and Liu, and to donate the temple for public welfare. The two temples merged their deities, and in February of the 56th year of the Republic of China, the Songshan Fongtian Temple Management Committee was established. With the generous donations of good men and women from all walks of life, the temple was gradually expanded and built up, and the number of worshippers increased day by day, and its reputation spread far and wide. The temple has a modernized hall with rich traditional history, which is solemn and magnificent. In the 66th year of the Republic of China, a magnificent and elegant six-story guest house was built on the left side of the Lingxiao Treasure Hall, with an area of thousands of square feet, capable of accommodating thousands of worshippers for accommodation and meals. It is richly decorated, the environment is elegant and comfortable, and it is an ideal place to worship and enjoy the scenery. The current seventh-term chairman is Wang Junxiang. With the full efforts of the committee members, it is hoped that Fongtian Temple can reach the realm of truth, goodness, and beauty, which is greatly expected. Songshan Fongtian Temple is located at the foot of the Tiger Mountain of the four beasts - Tiger, Leopard, Lion, and Elephant Mountains. It is adjacent to the Thumb and Pen Rack Mountains, close to the City Hall and the Xin Yi shopping district, and backed by the continuous green mountains, with lush green trees and clear springs. From the temple, you can look out to the peaks of the Datan, Qixing, Sha Mao, and Guanyin Mountains. The Tiger Mountain Trail of the Four Beasts is located at this temple, which is a must-pass place for citizens to climb the mountain. It is a gathering place for people, forming a bustling market, meeting the daily needs of hikers and nearby residents for clothes, food, etc. To the right is the Lugu Primary School and the Fude Primary School.
