"Mountains are not high, but with immortals they become famous; waters are not deep, but with dragons they become spiritual." Located at the foot of Fushou Mountain in Taipei City, Songshan Cihui Temple was founded by Mrs. Guo Yezzi, the current temple head, a devoted female lay Buddhist who has cultivated both virtue and practice. Based on the concept of "the way of the gods and the establishment of religion," the temple provides salvation for all beings, inspires the faithful in spiritual cultivation, purifies people's hearts, and is guided by the compassionate spirit of caring for the world and helping others.
The Songshan Cihui Temple enshrines the Supreme Jade Emperor, the Queen Mother of Heaven, and the temple's environment is elegant, with a clear and bright spiritual atmosphere, magnificent and majestic, surrounded by green hills, indeed a place where immortal and bodhisattvas reside, a place for the faithful to cultivate their minds and spirits, and a must-visit scenic spot for tourists. The temple covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters, consisting of a five-story building complex with precise structures. The temple is majestic and towering into the clouds, with tower-like bell and drum towers on both sides, making it even more grand and magnificent.
Standing on the second-floor hall's balcony, you can look down upon the Taipei metropolis, with the city scenery spread out before your eyes, making your heart excited and unwilling to leave. The temple's design is mainly based on the traditional Chinese temple architectural style, absorbing the artistic characteristics of the Ming and Qing palace buildings, integrating old and new teachings, with an ancient and elegant style, blending harmoniously among the green pines and cypresses, red bricks and yellow tiles, truly a red dot among the greenery, which is fascinating.
